Welcome to Michael P. Mazza LLC.

Our firm was started in January, 2003, and currently serves individual inventors, small, privately-held companies, and multimillion dollar corporations located throughout the United States and abroad. Their businesses cover a variety of technical and scientific disciplines.

We work with each client to achieve their objectives, including monetary damages, injunctions, licensing campaigns, procurement of intellectual property rights, and lawsuit avoidance. We create value for our clients' intellectual property.

Due to the expense of enforcing intellectual property rights, and in order to give meritorious claims their due, we utilize alternative fee arrangements by representing some of our clients on a full or partial contingent fee basis, typically in patent enforcement actions.

We practice in the areas of patent, trade secret, copyright, trademark and trade dress litigation, the licensing of intellectual property (IP) rights, and the procurement of IP rights. Enforcement of IP rights is typically done in the federal court system, with trade secrets typically enforced in the state court system. IP rights are created by filing and prosecuting applications with the appropriate governmental authorities (the Patent Office, the Trademark Office, and the Copyright Office).
